Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will provide and addresses technical issues/plans for Operations department specifically pertaining to the Crude Unit. As part of your specific responsibilities, in the following areas, you will be responsible for the day to day Operation of Refinery. Supervises on-shift Operations team consisting of, day coordinator, front-line supervisors, and hourly workforce to meet safety, environmental, production, quality and reliability goals. Partners with HR for administration of Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Employee Relations, and Labor Relations (Union/CBA) matters for Operations Department personnel. Member of refinery's Operations team to set direction and lead implementation of optimization improvements.The OpportunityAs theCrude Operations Superintendent you will:Be responsible for crude unit equipment, process, and technical operationsWork with Tech Support on operating adjustments/long term trends to ensure safety, environmental compliance, quality, and target productionWork with inspection and maintenance on equipment constraints, limits, maintenance prioritization, and abnormal situationsWork with the controls group on new control strategies, DCS graphics, and alarm managementThe RequirementsTo meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the Crude Operations Superintendent opportunity, you will have:Education:High School diploma or GED required.BA/BS in related field desired (Chemical Engineering preferred)Experience:Preferred 7 years refining operations.
