  What part will you play?

  The Credit and Collections Manager plays a key role in the credit and collection department by providing coaching and mentoring, motivation, strategy, and guidance to collections associates to ensure management of company risk associated with the timely collection of client balances. This individual will work with the Sr Manager, Credit and Collections to ensure the Credit and Collections team is meeting collection goals while complying with company standards and state and federal laws. They will also work as a liaison with other Order to Cash teams to communicate when corrective measures are required to address validated client billing concerns.

  What part will you play?

  Provide coaching and mentoring, motivation, strategy suggestions, and guidance to collections associates in a manner that encourages self-management and empowerment within policies and procedures in addition to strengthening knowledge base to allow good judgement.

  Plan, organize, and lead the work of others to ensure a realistically distributed work load and customer service-oriented communications and approach.

  Analyze data to develop and adopt an effective course of action.

  Responsible for making independent decisions regarding final collections attempt.

  Responsible for interacting with Account Executives, Project Managers, Sales Leadership, Contract Admin team and Billing/Portal teams.

  Initiate client conference calls to discuss account issues and past due invoices when needed.

  Maintain and update weekly assigned collections portfolio.

  Assist team of Collection Associates to assess troublesome client accounts.

  Schedule and assist with bi-weekly 1:1 meetings with Collection associates.

  Schedule and assist with bi-weekly collection review meetings.

  Scheduled and assist with Sales Associates/Collections/Billing meetings to record and follow up on reported issues.

  Train and oversee the credit card processing using the online payment processing application.

  Ensure Collections Associates follow all corrective action steps have been executed to ensure full closure of issue.

  Assist Sr Mgr, Credit and Collections with other departmental needs and responsibilities when needed.

  What do we require from you?

  Bachelor’s degree preferred

  5+ years’ experience in commercial collections, preferably construction industry experience, with some time supervising

  Supervisory experience – to include hiring, coaching and mentoring, development, performance evaluations

  Knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Practice Act

  Knowledge of process, requirements, and guidelines to file mechanic’s liens and bond claims

  Knowledge of Principles of Persuasion, Value Based Leadership, Conflict Resolution and Situational Leadership II

  Ability to influence others

  Strong problem-solving skills

  Possess strategic mindset

  Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and multitask

  Strong time management skills

  Outgoing personality

  Complexity:

  The Credit & Collection Supervisor will ensure Collector Associates follow all defined protocol as defined in the Collections Past due Escalation process and execute Credit Risk Assessments using the authorized assessment tools.

  Decision Making Authority:

  Under the direction of the Sr Mgr, Credit and Collections Manager, work with Collections team to determine the appropriate course of action when needed on delinquent accounts.

  Serves as a resource to Collection Associates to ensure that the correct approach and action in the collection of aged balances.

  Assist with new client set up to establish credit limits when needed.
