　　Position Summary*Based in Japan, reporting to the Managing Director, International & North America Sales, this regional position will lead the strategy for Commercial and oversee sales operations in Japan to achieve commercial goals.

　　Key Responsibilities*

　　Develop current and future sales distribution strategy

　　Lead sales and operations for Hawaiian Airlines throughout Japan while partnering with other markets to understand business needs

　　Champion the Japan market within the Hawaiian Airlines organization

　　Oversee relationships with GSA (General Sales Agent) and other sales partners

　　Provide market knowledge expertise

　　Coordinate with GSA and Pricing Revenue Management

　　Represent Hawaiian Airlines in community, government, and airport relations

　　Build and manage strong business relationships with local business partners (including tourism board, PR firm, and local airline partners)

　　Manage P&L and operating budgets while aligning with shifts in strategic directions of accounts

　　Effectively communicate value propositions

　　Work with Airport Customer Service group to coordinate Regulatory Compliance and Customer Service initiatives and Operations

　　Responsibility for Hanko (company seal)

　　Minimum Requirements*

　　Must have College degree or equivalent combination of related work experience and education

　　8-10 Years airline supervisory experience in Sales, Marketing, and/or Operations

　　Must be able to demonstrate fluency in Japanese and in English

　　Proven ability to build teams with employees and vendor staff and possess excellent interpersonal skills

　　Must have excellent negotiating skills

　　Working knowledge of Immigration, Customs and related regulatory policies/procedures

　　Knowledge of airport operations, regulatory, and compliance issues

　　Computer literate (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)

　　Detail oriented with proven ability to successfully manage budgets

　　Must be able to travel extensively

　　Must be an excellent public speaker

　　Ability to work with all levels of employees across all disciplines
