Your Impact:
As a Cost and Change Engineer for a $700M program on our aviation team in Orlando FL, you will have the chance to work on challenging projects where we’ll depend on your expertise, intuition, and professionalism to help monitor, facilitate, and provide leadership for all aspects of the cost and change workflows for multiple projects. You’ll grow professionally with us as we work together on impactful projects with a high degree of technical complexity from the concept stage through detailed design and construction services.
Reporting to the Contract Director, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the cost and change management requirements and workflows program wide. Ensuring the client’s processes are met and respective cost and change deliverables are compliant alongside the various Project Managers on the team. Managing cost reports inclusive of projects and programs total costs against budgets, ETC, and EAC encompassing all remaining costs including pending and potential changes as well as potential budget impacts like claims and risks. Partnering with the Contract Director and Project Managers you’ll act as the link between the design and construction teams, and cost estimating functions on one side and the cost controls department to translate owner’s budgets and designers cost estimates to trackable and reportable working estimates.
You’ll provide invoice support including review of monthly invoices and all required invoice backup; track invoice payments; monitor release of subconsultant payments per contract terms and input updated cost reports to identify shortage and surplus funds for each project. Evaluate contractor invoices prior to submission into client finance systems for pre-approval and prepare documents recommending fund transfers across projects and to and from contingency funds, assist with change management support, including maintenance of project change log.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
• Substantial years of professional experience in cost management, cost controls, invoicing, and cost reporting on large programs.
• Previous experience working on medium to large programs with increased complexity in terms of budget, cost, and invoicing.
• Good mathematical skills with ability to calculate figures and statistics.
• Experience using established PMIS software systems.
• Previous experience working in a cross functional team supporting multiple project managers working in a collaborative manner with the internal team and client alike.
• Ability to work from the airport’s onsite office with the program management team.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
• 4 year degree, preferably in related fields such as Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or demonstrably equivalent experience in construction and project delivery.
• Experience managing a team of cost engineering professionals
• Aviation construction experience
• Experience extracting data from various sources and converting it to fit operational needs
