　　Role Overview :

　　The Cost Accounting Specialist will work with the factory & engineering to review and analyze production and project performance across many facets of the Florence manufacturing site. This role, while independent, will work cross-functionally with many different departments locally and at the various headquarters. You will report to the Senior Accounting Manager, who will ensure access to mentorship, training, growth and development opportunities across the Otis business.

　　Essential Responsibilities:

　　Gather and analyze inventory transactions and data

　　Assist with cost reduction projects tracking / reporting. Support engineering in evaluation of business case.

　　Support month-end closing process – through journal entries, account reconciliation and month end reporting

　　Assist with analyzing monthly results

　　Assist with the annual planning process

　　Daily accounting of shop inventory/cycle counting & scrap adjustments

　　Gather and analyzing data for Purchase Price Variance reporting

　　Gather and summarize data for quarterly product cost tracking

　　Capital project analysis

　　Assist with Physical Inventory stock take / cycle counting reports.

　　Reconcile manufacturing scrap processing & analyze factory scrap data

　　Customs Invoice preparation

　　Document processes within the Cost Accounting function and participate in CI (Continuous Improvement) process

　　Requirements:

　　Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Accounting/Finance; 10 years of experience preferred

　　Cost Accounting experience in manufacturing environment highly preferred

　　Proficiency with PCs and Microsoft Office programs (Access/Excel/PowerPoint)

　　Strong fundamental accounting and analytical skills; attention to details

　　Organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines

　　Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills

　　JDE experience is a plus
