Due to rapid and continued growth, we are seeking Cost Accountants.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Serve as the liaison between project engineers, subcontractors, customers, and the Accounting department regarding all job cost matters.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Track labor, equipment, trucking and material cost based on foremans' timesheetsContact vendors and suppliers to get up-to-date pricing on materials ordered by field personnelCreate weekly invoices for all work performed along with all required documentationWork with project engineers to ensure that all work is billed accurately and completelySet up new contracts with subcontractorsUpdate job cost reports weekly with quantity changesCreate subcontractor estimates for payment to subcontractorsReview and approve invoices for payment to vendors and suppliersTrack rental equipment on projectsSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Entry level position. Educational and experience requirements include 4 year degree in Accounting or equivalent. Above average computer skills with knowledge in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. The ability to assume responsibility and interface and communicate with others is essential.
