Description Robert Half is looking for a cost accountant to join our client! This critical Cost Accountant role is responsible for the ongoing analysis of product cost, development of new product cost and margin analysis. You will also work closely with the sales teams and senior financial management team to establish customer pricing. This position is for a talented Cost Accountant looking for a company experiencing substantial growth.

　　Major responsibilities

　　Create and manage the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization

　　Interpret data collected and record detailed results

　　Perform internal cost audits

　　Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs

　　Abide by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements

　　Determine any changes in cost by analyzing any changes in services or goods provided

　　Maintain the cycle count program and take physical inventory

　　Make estimates of new and proposed product costs

　　Assist in audits and general ledger preparation

　　Collect data and plan projects to decide costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor usage, waste

　　Carry out variance analysis such as Purchase Price to Cost variance, cost revaluation, Invoice to PO price variances and work order variances

　　Implement standardized costing methodology for all domestic plants

　　Create reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products or services

　　Recommend costs and cost savings based on analysis Requirements - High analytical and extremely detailed

　　Knowledge of organizational accounting concepts

　　Bachelors degree in accounting or related field

　　Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

　　Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports

　　2 years of Cost Accounting work experience

　　Prior experience utilizing cost management methodologies, activities, and cost pools based on direct and indirect cost rates
