JOB REQUIREMENTS: An opportunity to prepare for a career in cosmetologythrough hands-on training and mentorship in our salons. This programoffers real-world experience to prepare for a career in the beautyindustry. As a Cosmetology Apprentice, you will work directly with ourtechnical trainers, managers, stylists, and salon owners to receiveone-on-one training and coaching. Apprentices generally start as salonreceptionists (salon assistants) to observe and learn all aspects ofsalon operations. This includes customer-facing operations such astaking reservations and answering questions, checking in guests forsalon services, and checking out guests when the services are completed.Receptionists also observe and learn all of the aspects of daily salonoperations, such as cleaning and sanitation duties, laundry, handlingsalon supplies, and cash handling. Select receptionists are invited tobegin a formal State of Wisconsin Cosmetology Apprentice journey. Theprocess starts with approvals and licensing from the WisconsinDepartment of Workforce Development (DWD) and the Wisconsin Departmentof Safety and Professional Services (DSPS.) Once approved and licensed,formal technical training can begin, with the goal of preparing theapprentice to provide supervised technical services to our customers. Aspart of this program, apprentices also attend classes at a State ofWisconsin (WI) technical school typically MATC Milwaukee Area TechnicalCollege (Milwaukee campus), MPTC Moraine Park Technical College (WestBend campus), or GTC Gateway Technical College (Racine campus.) AWisconsin Cosmetology Apprenticeship is a full-time program (at least 32hours per week) and requires a total of 4000 hours to complete. 3712hours is spent with Signature Two Company (as the sponsor), and aminimum of 288 hours of related technical school education. Uponcompletion, the apprentice can take the Wisconsin Cosmetology ExaminingBoard exams to earn a \"permanent\" cosmetology license. Ourapprenticeship program fully complies with all of the apprenticeship andcosmetology licensing requirements administered by the WisconsinDepartment of Workforce Development (DWD) and the Wisconsin Departmentof Safety and Professional Services (DSPS.) ***** OTHER EXPERIENCEAND QUALIFICATIONS: Get paid to learn, and work towards your WICosmetology license!
