DESCRIPTION OF WORKCorrections Food Service Supervisors perform supervisory work over large-scale food preparation and food serving area on an assigned shift in a correctional institution. You will supervise, coordinate, inspect, and evaluate the work performed in preparation, production, serving, baking, meat cutting, and sanitation. This includes supervising Food Service personnel and maintaining order and discipline among inmate workers. You will establish work procedures, schedule work and allocate staff to meet time requirements, and maintain records and reports relating to menu, recipes, orders, requisitions, inventory, food service personnel and inmate help.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment.This position is 40 hours per week, work hours: 4:30 AM - 12:30 PM or 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM (Sunday-Saturday), with rotating days off.This position is eligible for full benefits at age 50 or 55.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year of experience as a Corrections Food Service Instructor; orThree years of experience in food preparation, production, or service of a variety of complete meal menus in an institutional food service operation, food catering service, restaurant, or in a similar large-scale food production operation, which included one year of lead work experience; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training, which included one year of lead work experience.
Additional Requirements:You must be able to perform essential job functions.
