ox Elder County has an opening for a full-time Corrections Officer with the Sheriff's Office. The Corrections Officer guards prisoners in the County Jail in accordance with established policies, regulations and statutes while assuming responsibility for all needs of the prisoners in custody.
Those interested in this position must be a high school graduate and
must be a graduate of the Utah P.O.S.T. Special Function Officer Training and be Basic Correctional Officer Certified. Applicants must also have no criminal history or record of arrests, except for minor traffic and no record of alcohol and drug use. Proof of certification will be required to receive an interview. Base Pay $26.68/Hour. Lateral pay does apply.
