The job: Tax Accounting Manager
We have an opportunity in Inchinnan for an experienced Tax professional to join us. In this particular role The Tax Accounting Manager will work closely with business leaders and colleagues in the functions within the group, as well as colleagues throughout the business, to contribute to, and manage elements of, the smooth operation of the corporate tax compliance function.
This is a permanent, full time opportunity based at our Inchinnan site with hybrid working opportunities.
What will you do?
• Manages own time on multiple tax assignments, working effectively with others within the UK tax team and communicating progress and results.
• Manages own portfolio of UK entities, reviews of disclosures and computations.
• Manages and monitors tax compliance and provision to returns in own portfolio of jurisdictions.
• Provides input into forecast of UK Group taxable profit by assigned legal entity for input into the Cash Tax Forecast, communicating effectively with business leadership to improve visibility to outcomes, enabling decision making at Corporate level.
• Review of tax accounting quarterly packs prepared by local accountants for certain complex assigned entities.
• Provides reports to Management on status of Corporate Tax compliance.
• Manages or participates in project work on an ad hoc basis.
• Coaching and developing junior staff
Who we are looking for:
• Professional accounting and/or tax qualification.
• Experience in corporate tax compliance gained either within the profession or in a similar role in industry.
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency, contagious optimism and a “can do” attitude.
• A collaborative team player
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
• Fully proficient is MS Office, including Excel.
• Stretches across borders, breaks silos and builds effective partnerships with customers and colleagues.
