And with a 100% score on the Disability Equality Index, our diversity across gender, race and ideas drives us forward.This role is an in-office role in either Bellevue, WA, or Overland Park, KS.This attorney, working in the Legal Affairs Department, will represent T-Mobile and provide counsel to business units and Human Resources on employment and labor-related legal matters as assigned; and prepare and review legal documents including pleadings, briefs, position statements, and other filings.What you'll do in your role.Provide practical, day-to-day, employment-law and counseling to HR and other internal clients to identify and manage labor and employment legal risks.Act as subject matter expert for specialty areas including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, ADA, and FMLA and other leaves.Engage and work with outside counsel to manage employment litigation and administrative proceedings with a focus on creative strategies, cost reduction, and efficient resolutions.Prepare responses to agency charges and demand letters.Develop and review written HR policies, guidelines, templates, and forms.Develop and deliver legal training to HR and other internal clients.Provide employment law advice regarding and advising internal investigations.Advise and help clients understand employment law related compliance issues.Counsel and advise clients on a wide variety of sophisticated and developing employment-related legal and business issues.The experience you'll bring.4+ years of experience as an employment attorney, with relevant in-house and/or top law firm experienceMinimum 4 years, prefer 6+ years, of experience handling litigation involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and other employment-related claims.Ability to work independently and effectively despite ambiguity and rapid change.Excellent writing skills, with a focus on providing practical advice.Amazing oral communication skills, with a focus on clearly and simply conveying complex employment law concepts, risks, and options to HR and other internal clients.Strong judgement that allows you to properly weigh what's best for our customers and our business, what's best for our employees, and potential legal risksStrong project management skillsA demonstrated ability to collaborate with other legal and business professionals in a complex organ
