Description
An international Company seeks a corporate attorney to work on a variety of generalist matters. The attorney will work under the General Counsel and will be responsible for
the general charge of coordinating all legal matters pertaining to the company. They will have oversight of the legal department and is the liaison with management in coordination of legal issues affecting the organization. This includes:
• Help develop the legal strategy and arrange counsel to manage litigation. Advise on the legal implications of business decisions.
• Help manage and coordinate the legal function responsibilities including, but not limited to, corporate governance, regulatory and contractual compliance, retained and ad-hoc outside counsels, self-insured retentions in the product liability area, including claim adjustments, insurance matters as appropriate, risk management, litigation, intellectual property, export controls and third-party relationships, as needed
• Oversee and coordinate contracts in drafting, negotiating and overseeing commercial, and international contracts; oversee compliance with contracts and ensure follow-through to resolution; analyze and obtain advise on requests for deviations from contract specifications; proactively strive to help protect the company’s legal interests and coordinate the functioning of the operations within the scope of established law and the scope of the contracts.
Requirements
Must possess analytical, legal research and writing skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, to prioritize tasks and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent through each task performed
Comprehensive knowledge of Commercial Contracts
