The Core AV team in Core OS is responsible for device drivers and firmware for DP and HDMI displays. We are looking for talented individuals who enjoy creating device drives and working with FW!
Key Qualifications
Experience with writing and debugging complex drivers and related frameworks
Experience with device driver development
Knowledge of C and C++ Demonstrated creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skill
Highly professional, with the ability to deliver solid work on tight schedules
Excellent collaborative skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with logic analyzers and oscilloscopes
Description
You will be part of the team that is responsible for maintenance and development of device drivers for display technologies. Working closely with multiple cross-functional teams you would be responsible for developing new features, debug issues found by customers and QA, schematic and code reviews, bring up of new hardware and ensure smooth interoperability. Work closely with the firmware teams to ensure standards compliant interfacing and helping debug SW/FW/HW issues.
Education & Experience
BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience/skills
Additional Requirements
Preferred Experience (not required):
AV technologies such as HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, HDCP etc
Remote control technologies such as Infrared(IR) and Consumer Electronics Control (CEC)
Development experience in IOKit/macOS
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
