Description/Job Summary
General Nature of Work:
Responsible for following the directions of the Cook I. Prepares raw food for cooking, assist with meal set-up, serving and clean-up.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in timely preparation of menu items.
Procures daily storage from storeroom or refrigerator as requested.
Receives subsistence, check amounts, weights and quality.
As assigned by Cook I, will wash, cook, peel, slice or otherwise prepare fruits and vegetables for salads.
Other responsibilities may include preparation of sandwiches, salads, desserts, slicing pies and cakes, assisting in setup of serving lines and salad bars. Serve food on serving line during meal times.
Education
Ability to read write and comprehend English
