JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Cook supports our mission and values byparticipating in daily food service operations and assuring proper mealpreparation. What will I do as a Cook? Prepare main entrees and otherfood items to meet quality standards and the quantity needed. Have mealready to serve at a stated time. Follow proper infection control,safety, and sanitation practices, especially during the movement of foodthrough the various stages of receiving, storage, preparation, servingand reheating. Check menu to see that the appropriate amount and kindsof food and supplies are on hand, thawed and ready to be used for meals.Supervise staff in the absence of Dining Service Management. Call inreplacement help for absent employees and act in whatever capacityneeded in order to fulfill facility need. Adjust assignments as needed.Assist with the training of employees. Keep current with job standardsthrough in-service training, continuing education, personal andprofessional development. Will hand cash, manage cash resister, completeX, Z readings, complete deposit, and cash reports. (Deli Only) Willtransport prepared food items to the Compass Point building. (Deli Only) Will transport prepared food items to theCompass Point building. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:Restaurant/hospitality cooking experience, preferred. Able to read andfollow recipes and follow special dietary needs. Able to work in a teamenvironment with limited supervision and supervise a team.
