Horizon House is Pennsylvania's oldest psychiatric rehabilitation agency. Since 1952, we have been dedicated to helping people with mental illness, drug and alcohol addictions, developmental/intellectual disabilities, and homelessness to stabilize their lives and to help them live as independently as possible in the community. With over 100 locations throughout South and North Eastern Pennsylvania and the state of Delaware, Horizon House provides services to a diverse population focusing on individual strength and choice.Purpose:* Prepare food items for the Susquehanna Park participants.Supervision Received:* Receives direct supervision from the House Manager.Supervision Exercised:* N/A

　　Job Qualifications:

　　High School diploma or GED equivalent and 3 years experience in the food services industry preparing large quantities of food in a cafeteria, restaurant, or institutional setting; or any combination of experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required. Must have knowledge of nutrition, portion control and requisitioning.. Must have Serve Safe Certification.. Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.. Be able to work with homeless individuals with substance abuse and/or mental health disorders.. Very good analytical and organizational skills.Scope:

　　Must be available for local travel.Possess manual dexterity and fine motor skills.. Frequent talking and listening.. Requires the ability to lift, carry, fold, kneel, reach, stack, stoop, climb stairs and bend which include direct intervention with clients.. May require crisis intervention in emergency situations.. May stand for extended periods of time.. Requires lifting and/or carrying up to a maximum of 50 lbs.. Must be available to work flexible hours, in accordance with client needs and scheduling..
