Worksite: 1410 E Southern Ave. Tempe AZ 85282.
Duties include: Perform all methods of cookery, portion, control andgarnish for all dishes in accordance with the standards set by theexecutive chef, maintain high standards of quality food preparation toensure guest satisfaction, inspect and clean food preparation areas,such as equipment and work service or serving areas to ensure safe andsanitary food-handling practices; prepare, cook, and season foodaccording to recipes; handle a wide range of raw fish and otheringredients, handle food prep activities such as boiling rice, cuttingfruits and vegetables, prepare appetizers, sushi rolls, and salads.Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature byregulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters; ensurefreshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping trackof old and new items and rotating product and other related RestaurantCook activities per SOC Code 35-2014.
Requirements: Workers must be available to work weekends, evenings, andholidays. Workers must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50lb. No minimum education or prior work experience are required.
On-the-job-training provided. All applicants must be able and willing toperform work described and must be available for the entire periodspecified.
Terms and conditions of employment: Workers will be paid no less than\$18.08 per hour; Overtime rate is \$27.12 per hour.
The wage(s) offered equal(s) or exceed(s) the highest of the prevailingwage or the Federal, State, or local minimum wage.
The employer will use a single worksheet as its standard for computingwages due. Workers will be paid on Friday (weekly) by check. Theemployer will make all deductions from the workers paycheck required bylaw.
Workers are responsible for providing their own lodging.
Total of 36 hours per week. Schedule will vary weekly based on businessneeds from Monday to Sunday between 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Overtimepossible. If overtime is worked, wage is paid at a rate of time and ahalf per hour worked.
Public transportation:Public transportation is available. Workers areresponsible for daily transportation to and from the worksite.
Worker will be reimbursed by paid check for transportation andsubsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work forthe employer if the worker completes fifty percent of the period ofemployment covered by the job order. Upon fifty percent completion ofthe work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employerwill reimburse the worker for the reasonable costs of returntransportation and subsistence back home or to the place the workeroriginally departed to work, except where the worker will not return dueto subsequent employment with another employer. The amount oftransportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the mosteconomical and reasonable carrier for the distances involved.
Daily subsistence will be at least \$14.00 per day during travel to amaximum of \$59.00 per day with receipts.
Tools, equipment and supplies:All work will be done with employerprovided tools, supplies and equipment without charge or deposit.
Miscellaneous:Employer will reimburse the H2B workers in the firstworkweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and otherrelated fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred bythe H2B workers (not including passport fees).
