You will engage with a multidisciplinary team to deliver on the engineering requirements of a rotating equipment project.
Your profile
You will have a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, electronic systems engineering technology, manufacturing and mechanical engineering technology, multidisciplinary engineering technology, or related field.
You are interested in developing your skills in control system engineering and programming.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Current Siemens Energy employees may be eligible for internal transfers.
Your responsibilities
Manage the control systems technical scope for supply of new packaged rotating equipment for onshore and offshore projects including electric motor-driven compressor trains, gas turbine-generators, gas turbine-compressors, and extended plant scope (coolers, scrubbers, anti-surge valves, etc.)
Programming and configuration of the package control system.
Support Project Engineer to address technical concerns with internal and external clients.
Ensure that the highest engineering standards are maintained within the controls engineering department during the design and manufacture of these products.
Represents the assigned systems in hazard and operability analysis (HAZOP) and safety integrity level (SIL) studies.
Troubleshoot and understand gas turbine, compressor, and process system designs from a control system standpoint.
Direct and review the drafting/design team on the creation of contract schematics, bills of materials, and part assemblies.
Support production in the assembly of equipment through work instructions and redlining drawings.
Provide technical/field service support through the end of warranty and handover to service.
Manage controls engineering schedule, including on time release of equipment specifications, bills of material, and customer documentation.
Manage and monitor Controls Engineering budget.
