Description

　　Contract-to-hire Controller needed for a Dallas advertising client. 100% ONSITE in downtown Dallas, TX. This is a contract-to-hire position.

　　The Controller will manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting group, including accurate and timely processing of A/P, A/R and Project accounting. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of project cost accounting and develop partnership with key stakeholders through the organization to ensure project success.

　　Advertising industry experience Important to understand the billing/projects/accounting.

　　Responsibilities:

　　• Manage the general accounting work, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, job costing and general ledger postings for projects.

　　• Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure fiscal responsibility.

　　• Prepare and compile timely and accurate monthly and quarterly financial results providing insights and recommendations to the executive team.

　　• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and prepare necessary filings.

　　• Monitor cash flow and liquidity to support the agency’s financial stability.

　　• Implement cash flow projections and manage working capital effectively.

　　• Analyze project cost, profitability and ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with project budgets to maximize positive cash flow.

　　• Manage the preparation of the annual tax return process, working with our third-party tax accountants.

　　• Maintain and improve financial software systems and tools.

　　• Streamline financials processes and enhance efficiency and accuracy.

　　• Oversee and support a team of financial professionals to create an environment of trust and productivity.

　　Requirements

　　• 7 plus years of experience in progressively responsible accounting roles in the advertising, media, or similar industry; preferred.

　　• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.

　　• Strong knowledge of project cost control, percentage of completion accounting and expense recognition.

　　• Proficient with Advantage software or related software experience a plus
