The ideal candidate for this position can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. This position is for candidates who can lead with integrity and reliability and have the ability to manage self and others with urgency, practicality and accountability when providing client services. Major responsibilities
Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual
Complete tasks beyond formal job responsibilities
Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operation
Analyze, apply and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Review and revise deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations
Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports
Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management
Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly
Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis
Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required Requirements - Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
CPA/MBA preferred
Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
Excellent attention to detail
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired
Expertise in Analyze Financial Statements
General familiarity with analysis
Practical knowledge of Ad Hoc Analysis
Well-founded grasp of Ad Hoc Analysis
Proven knowledge of Ad Hoc Financial Analysis
Month end closings experience
Monthly Financial Statements experience preferred
Annual Budget experience
Proficiency in Financial Statement
