Description

Lisa Cole with Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for a Controller for stable non-profit organization. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day accounting, month end close, financial statement preparation and repotting to financials to the board of directors. Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with the appropriate standards and regulatory requirements.

Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, program budgets, and actual expenditures.

Regularly produce financial reports or statements.

Adhere to tax laws and regulatory compliance to ensure the financial success of the organization.

Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors; assess changes necessary.

Implement financial management systems, processes, tools, and control systems.

Collaborate with senior leaders on operational and strategic issues and assist with the annual budgeting and planning process.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field.

Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.

Previous experience within a non-profit organization would be highly desired

5+ years' experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position

Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
