In this role, it will be critical for you to plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. The permanent Controller position is situated in the Flemington, New Jersey area.

　　Major responsibilities

　　o Develops and implements the organization’s financial accounting policies and procedures.

　　o Reports financial results and budgets to Group HQ.

　　o Manages the organization’s financial operating systems including the general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

　　o Responsible for corporate income tax compliance.

　　o Represents organization in legal disputes/issues.

　　o Participates in special projects and compiles a variety of special reports.

　　o Interfaces with various departments to resolve issue/problems and assist in accounting, tax matters and operating policies and procedures.

　　o Responsible for commercial and umbrella insurance, including product liability claims.

　　o Human Resources and Payroll

　　Requirements

　　Month end closings experience desired

　　High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

　　Manufacturing or Distribution experience preferred

　　BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

　　Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
