Candidates who can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff, will be preferred for this position. The Controller will be a permanent employment opportunity and will be located in the Edina, Minnesota region.

　　Your responsibilities in this role

　　Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis

　　Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor on a monthly basis

　　Present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners

　　Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals

　　Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation

　　Support Finance Department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, through research, planning and implementation, as needed

　　Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

　　Review deliverables of self and team to align with client expectations

　　Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual

　　Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

　　Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll Requirements - Month end closings experience desired

　　BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

　　Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

　　Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

　　Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills

　　Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

　　Excellent attention to detail

　　Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

　　Excellent communication and organizational skills

　　Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

　　Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

　　Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired

　　Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
