　　Work/Project Scope:

　　Responsible for US Tax Information Reporting Assist with the 1099 reporting to the IRS and states Manage all correction requests from customers and update directly in the tax reporting vendor  Manage the B-Notice process and responding to customer inquiries Develop and improve the process of responding and acting in accordance with Garnishment/ Lien requests/ State requests Handle W-9 and W-8BEN documentation projects and improvements Work on various required data updates and analysis required for tax information reporting Validate Tax Ids and update internal systems accordingly Respond to customer inquiries on US tax matters Work with tight deadlines and be able to prioritize accordingly Perform tax research and assist other members in the tax department handle complex questions. Work closely with other members of the tax team to support other internal stakeholders. Develop policies and procedures for new or improved internal processes Act in agreement with company guidelines when handling PII information

　　Must Haves (Required Skills):

　　Strong experience in a Tax Operations department Familiarity with 1099 information reporting, Forms W-9 and W-8BEN or garnishments Experience communicating and working with the IRS preferred Strong skills in excel including pivot tables, V-Lookups and ability to learn different accounting and tax software Strong organizational and communication skills especially external facing The ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail Upwork is proudly committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce.
