Responsibilities Serving as a Contract Compliance Specialist GS-1101-9/11 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. These positions are located in the Student Services Division (SSD), under the Mission and Readiness Support Directorate (MRSD) and located in Glynco, Georgia. Typical assignments include: Providing management support for assigned contracts and is officially appointed as a Contracting Officer's Representative. Planning and exercising management control and providing administration and quality assurance functions of assigned on-going service contracts. Marinating liaison between contractor, FLETC functional activities, POs, other government agencies and industry and the CO to identify methods for improvement and enhance successful completion of contracts and customer satisfaction. Reviewing, planning and programming documents and data affecting assigned contracts to determine impact on training aspects of logistics support and implement applicable portions. Performing property management duties complying with all rules and regulations and safekeeping of government-furnished property. Establishing inspection schedules and performs on-site inspections and preparing detailed reports of audits, surveillances, inspections, and program reviews that document findings, deficiencies, revisions to procedures, recommendations, required corrective actions, and resolutions of significant quality assurance problems. Preparing Statements of Work (SOW) and Independent Government Estimates (IGEs) as well as evaluates technical and administrative performance of contractors against contractual requirements. Ensures the terms and conditions of the contract are carried out, government interests are protected, reviews contractor's work, and advises contractors regarding safety and security requirements. Participating in contract conferences and meetings to discuss contract and quality assurance requirements. Conducting pre-award and post-award visits to provide information and quality assurance processes to contractors. Developing, reviewing, and evaluating quality assurance and control plans. Preparing and presenting oral reports and formal presentations to senior management, other Federal and state agencies, and contractors frequently representing FLETC as an official spokesperson. Participating in implementing the SSD responsibilities as defined in the FLETC plans in the event of an evacuation.
