Job Purpose
The Continuous Improvement Lead will be part of the Vaccines R&D Lab Ops- Continuous Improvement Global Team. The Mission of this new organization is 'To Lead the definition & deployment of strategies and projects-to transform the performance and processes pertaining to Lab Operations, driving simplification and quality improvement, across Vaccines R&D. The Continuous Improvement Lead in Vaccines R&D Lab Ops is responsible for Leading & Driving Projects & Initiatives at a Global level- aimed at the Continuous Improvement of global lab operations & processes like equipment life cycle management, sample management, logistics and material management, systems/tools and infrastructure associated with lab processes and Ways of Working across the R&D Labs, especially related to EHS & Quality, using Lab Experience, Lean and Six Sigma tools, Operational Excellence and Project Management skills.
Key Responsibilities Lead & Drive global improvement projects in Vaccines R&D Lab Ops related to Operational Excellence of R&D Lab Ops Processes. Analyse and measure the effectiveness of existing Lab processes and Lead the Matrix teams of Lab Operations colleagues as well as other SMEs and stakeholders to deliver the improvement project and initiatives Lead the design and implementation of better, more effective global processes/solutions to address customer needs, with the use of benchmarking, business process analysis and re-engineering and change management. Constantly look for improvement opportunities and possibilities for simplification & alignment of Lab Operations across the 3 Vaccines R&D Sites. Take the accountability to Lead & Deliver improvements and reduce the time a scientist spends away from science with each project or improvement, but also driving efficiency, simplification, and effectiveness within the lab Operations teams. Be a partner to the Lab Ops Team Leads and work closely with them to identify opportunities to continuously improve Lab operations & resolving their top problems and concerns. Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering or science At least 10 years of proven operations experience, out of which at least 5 years are spent in an Operational Excellence role- working on/leading important improvement projects. Ability to lead a Large Programs/ Global Projects comprised of multiple project workstreams with cross functional subject matter experts ensuring clear line of sight on the program strategy translated into workstream objectives, deliverables, and milestone driven project plans. Ability to plan and execute projects utilizing an Agile methodology. Analytical & Creative Problem-solving abilities and strong stakeholder management capabilities - managing a diverse project team and key stakeholders with potentially competing priorities, leveraging Change Management, Interpersonal & Influencing skills Demonstrated ability to adjust a course of action in a rapidly changing and highly uncertain environment. Effective and timely decision making, applying risk management principles, translated into concrete actions. Effective verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation / presentation skills. Proven planning & organizational skills; results oriented mindset. GPS, TPM, TPS, Lean/Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or equivalent operational excellence methodology experience PMP Certification or Equivalent Project Management Experience. Preferred Qualifications:
