Position Description: Reporting to the VPof Strategic Operations, the CI Director will be a key architect of theCI strategy for the company. This will include the development of theLean tool kit that will be deployed via the Kaizen process. This centralleadership role is both strategic and tactical; strategic in terms ofworking with the executive staff and business unit leaders to understandand support the development of specific CI strategies that align withthe needs of the businesses; and tactical in working with the businessleaders and CI practitioners on the deployment of specific CIactivities. The CI Director will \"stand up\" the central Lean/Kaizenoffice, which includes leading a small central CI team that will beinstrumental in teaching and mentoring the CI practitioners throughoutthe organization on Lean best practices and tools, including but notlimited to 8 Waste identification/elimination, VS Mapping, ContinuousFlow, Kanban/Pull Systems, VA/VE analysis, Heijunka, 5S, Visual & DailyManagement. Kaizen events will be a key vehicle for driving rapidimprovement and engaging/developing the capabilities of the teams. TheCI Director will have dotted line connection to the CI leaders withinthe vertical business units and plants throughout the Segment.
