Position Description:

　　Chavez Radio Group (CRG), a network of 7 radio stations concentrated in the Southwestern states of the U.S. that are owned and operated by the Cesar Chavez Foundation (CCF), is seeking a Content Producer to assist in the development and production of educational, informational, and/or entertaining content for radio and digital platforms. This position reports to the Content Manager and, in conjunction with other content production staff, is responsible for creating unique, uplifting and inspirational pieces, series or campaigns that increase our audience reach. They work closely with the Program Director, on-air talent, engineers and IT staff members.

　　Objectives of the Role:

　　To conceptualize, script, and produce top quality content that draws in audience members.

　　To support other programming staff in the production of their shows, segments, imaging, or other types of content.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Develop new engaging audio content which may include originating creative ideas, project managing, copywriting, voicing, and/or editing pieces;

　　Assist on-air talent with the production of their ongoing promos, imaging and segments;

　　Researching program topics and scripting out on-air topic presentation, known as “show prep”;

　　Following news and online trends for target audiences to identify topics of interest.

　　Source potential contributors and interviewees;

　　Produce and manage the inventory of PSA’s across our networks;

　　Be familiar with copyright and FCC regulations;

　　Be familiar with and apply our organization’s core values to the content being produced;

　　Proactively stay current on trends in audio and improve productions skills;

　　Report to the Program Director and/or Content Manager on the status of assigned projects;

　　May need to complete other duties as assigned by the Program Director or Content Manager on an as-needed basis.

　　Requirements:

　　A minimum of two years of related experience as a creative or in copywriting or production;

　　Strong communications skills, both verbally and written, in English and Spanish;

　　Experience or training in storytelling, brand building, and/or message development;

　　Ability to work adeptly in a constantly evolving environment;

　　Adept in audio production software such as Sony Sound Forge and/or Adobe Audition;

　　Exceptional prioritization, problem-solving, time and project management skills;

　　Adept at working in a fast-paced environment and successfully juggling multiple assignments at once with tight deadlines;

　　Responsiveness to team members;

　　Self-starter and ability to build initiatives from scratch.

　　Compensation & Benefits:

　　$42K per year DOE

　　Work Location:

　　This position is based in Phoenix, Arizona but may need to work remotely from one of our other markets in California, Nevada, or Georgia for short periods of time which do not normally exceed one week and average 1-2 nights.
