  Job Description Summary

  Los Angeles Times is seeking someone who is driven, committed, and motivated to join our team and help ensure the success of our customer subscriptions system.

  Responsible for reviewing, correcting, and processing consumer data in an electronic format into a Circulation system responsible for Financial and distribution information. Performs data entry work by entering, updating, reviewing, researching, verifying and/or retrieving data into/from various systems, and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of information recorded. Makes outbound customer calls to verify information for billing and or delivery questions and address accuracy.

  Job Description

  Responsibilities:Process Consumer Information loaded into a Financial and Distribution system by interrogating data for deficiencies, resolving or reporting discrepancies by utilizing standard processes and procedures.Perform consumer outbound calling to resolve written correspondence or verification of addresses to ensure accuracy of the consumer's billing statement.Manage unique and sensitive consumer accounts that require special handling.Maintain both internal and external customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing results according to assigned standards to attain company objectives.Understand the importance of PCI compliance and act to ensure PCI compliance is maintained All other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Strong data processing skills - typing skills of 50+ wpm.Must be able to use a calculator by touch.Be proficient at using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook or Google equivalent.Excellent detail orientation and customer service skills.Must possess the ability to multi-task and have time management skills.Must possess the ability to identify issues and problem solve various inquiries as needed.Must possess excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication to interact with internal and external customers.Preferred Qualifications:Self-starter with excellent organizational skills.Ability to raises any obstacles or challenges to work completion in a timely manner.Ability to follow direction and seek clarification when needed.Ability to follow up and ensure all items/inquiries are resolved timely.Ability to handle and adapt to a changing environment.Education:High school diploma or equivalent experience.Introductory Period:

  An employee's first 90 days of employment are considered an introductory period. This introductory period will be a time for getting to know fellow employees, managers, and the tasks involved in the position, as well as becoming familiar with the Company's products and services. Managers will work closely with each employee during this period to help them understand the requirements and processes of their position, and employees should feel free to ask as many questions as needed to get up to speed. At the end of the introductory period, the employee and their manager will meet to discuss how things are going. Employees are encouraged to share their thoughts and concerns, both about the position and the Company as a whole. Employees who are rehired into the same or similar position after less than a year of separation will not be subject to a second introductory period. Completion of the introductory period has no impact on the at-will employment relationship; it does not guarantee continued employment or that an employee will only be terminated for cause.

  The pay scale for this position is $20.00 - $21.00 per hour. This is the pay scale range the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. Compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position.   The Company is a mandatory vaccination employer for COVID-19 and its variants. The Company requires that its employees be fully vaccinated as of their start date.
