Job Summary and Qualifications
The Consulting Implementation Specialist is a leader on our implementation projects and actively participates in the implementation of technology solutions for our physicians and clinicians. This position will assist Implementation Team Leadership in determining implementation and staffing strategies. Field experience and an understanding of the change management implications of implementing a new electronic workflow process is also expected. This individual will be required to lead teams and hospital staff through workflow analysis, action planning, system readiness, and go-live activities.
In addition, this individual will be responsible for mentoring new implementation resources and the project management of high profile initiatives with minimal oversight. They contribute to new ideas and solutions, and innovate new tools and processes designed to optimize our implementation method. This individual will act as a liaison between the HCA Corporate Office, the division teams, and facility resources. The above requirements are in addition to general Implementation Specialist responsibilities.
Up to 75% travel required.
Major Responsibilities:
•Develop scalable deployment plans for current technology solutions
•Prioritize and execute large-scale implementation activities at a corporate, division, and facility level
•Execute more complex implementation projects and/or juggle multiple projects simultaneously
•Lead and/or contribute to discussions regarding projects and program decisions
•Participate in implementation team strategy
•Provide guidance to fellow team members for delivery of project deliverables
•Escalates to and collaborates with Implementation Manager or Director on project progress, issues and risks to identify next steps, solutions, etc.
•Lead teams including other solutions or projects, and work with leadership and stakeholders to assure desirable outcomes
•Troubleshoot problems identified by team members and end-users
•Coordinate communication amongst all project team members
•Collaborate with the Education Team in the design and development of training programs or project specific materials to support the workflows to be implemented
•Communicate project status amongst the team and up through project and department leadership
•Train end users on the proper use of the application and troubleshoot problems as they arise
•Innovate new tools and processes to optimize our implementation methods
•Contribute to, manage and facilitate project and program meetings as assigned
•Maintaining implementation materials to enable ongoing project phases
•Deliver project deliverables with minimal guidance
•Act as mentor to new and existing team members
•Facilitate lessons learned and incorporate in team/project process improvements
Education & Experience:
•Bachelor's degree
•3+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
•Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills required.
•Possesses good organizational and presentation skills. Demonstrated presentation/public speaking skills and experience required.
•Problem solving is a required core competency. Analyzes the components of the process including distinctive characteristics, constraints, limitations, requirements, and risks.
