The Construction Manager manages construction projects under the supervision of the Director of Real Estate & Development for a large geographic region.Responsibilities
Directly manages all subs and/or GC's for projects ranging in complexity from industrial new builds including railway spurs and excavations/land prep/steel work to simple renovations.Revise/value engineer to meet projects budgetary constraints by working with design professionals and contractors.Assist Senior Construction Manager in building initial cost and time budgets on projects and revising these throughout the construction process.Coordinate/assist bid process and contractor selection.Manage/schedule construction and confirm facility is move-in ready for the field including IT installations, FFE, signage, telecom services, and merchandising.Closeout project with contractors and permitting authority.Process change order requests and review pay requests.Provide project status updates (schedules and picture documentation).Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred combined with 5 to 8 years of construction management experience in the following areas:Site management (including underground utilities, grading, paving, and site lighting)Steel building erectionInterior commercial construction including MEPs
