The Weitz Company is seeking a Project Executive to support our Denver, CObusiness unit. This candidate will ideally have experience in market sectorssuch as processing advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, and emergingmarkets throughout the United States. Candidates must be well-versed andexperienced in Design-Build and Target Value Delivery (TVD).
The Project Executive is responsible for the overall success of assignedprojects by overseeing the construction operations while providing leadershipand management direction. This role develops project team members,identifies continuous improvement opportunities, and assists with thecreation of a business unit strategic growth plan and budget. The ProjectExecutive typically reports to the Director of Operations.
What You'll Do Every Day:Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans forlarge-scale construction projects.Manage project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors,and subcontractors.Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders,including senior management, clients, and regulatory authorities.Monitor and control construction through administrative direction of on-sitefield management staff to ensure project is built on schedule and withinbudget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement correctivemeasures.Manage and support proposal creation and the development of clientpresentations
Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company's interest andmaintain good relationship with Client.
Provide leadership and direction to preconstruction teams in analyzing valueto the customer, opportunities and risk.
Coordinate project commissioning and handover activities.Manage project closeout activities.Maintain a strong network of industry related contacts for the purpose ofexpanding business opportunitiesOther duties and projects as assignedBusiness travel will be required
What We're Looking For:Desired Experience: A minimum of fifteen (15) years of constructionindustry is required. Must have been the Senior Most Manager, ProjectExecutive, or Director on a $50M - $200M project.Skills: A qualified candidate will demonstrate firm judgment andcommunication skills while exhibiting leadership, business acumen,mentoring and decision making abilities. This role should also effectivelyresolve conflicts, network with clients and have a high degree ofself-motivatiEducation: An industry related bachelor's degree is required. Anequivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Technology: Proficiency in basic computer software programs such asMicrosoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Employee should have solid experiencewith project management/scheduling software (JDE, Procore, Bluebeam,scheduling software, etc.).
