Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Accounting Project Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in construction accounting, with expertise in draws, job costing, lien waivers, construction billing, construction accounts payable, and receivable. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent organizational skills, and be self-motivated and self-directed. Effective communication and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders are essential.
This position is 100% onsite, you must be comfortable working in an on-site environment.
Responsibilities:
Draws Management:
Oversee the draws process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
Collaborate with project managers to gather necessary information for draw submissions.
Job Costing:
Implement and maintain job costing systems to track expenses and ensure project profitability.
Analyze job cost reports and provide insights to support decision-making.
Lien Waivers:
Manage the lien waiver process, obtaining and processing waivers in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with lien release requirements.
Construction Billing:
Generate and submit accurate and timely construction invoices.
Coordinate billing with project milestones and client agreements.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Oversee construction accounts payable, ensuring timely payment of vendors and subcontractors.
Manage accounts receivable, tracking and collecting payments from clients.
Yardi ERP Systems:
Utilize Yardi ERP systems for efficient and accurate financial management.
Provide training and support to team members on Yardi usage.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience in construction accounting, with a focus on draws, job costing, and lien waivers.
Familiarity with construction billing processes and accounts payable/receivable.
Strong understanding of financial principles and practices in the construction industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Self-motivated and self-directed, comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification.
Prior experience with Yardi ERP systems is highly preferred.
