We have an exciting opportunity open for a Construction Inspector based inPueblo West, CO.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Construction Site Inspector will be responsible for the inspection ofconstruction and maintenance projects adhering to Summit Utilities, Inc.Technical Guidelines and applicable regulations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Construction Site Inspector will be responsible for the inspection ofconstruction and maintenance projects by:* Monitoring progress of contractors to ensure conformance to plans andspecifications as outlined in the company's technical guidelines andapplicable regulations.* Being responsible for cost control of assigned projects* Ensure no leaks, spills or releases occur.To successfully perform the required inspections this position must:* Perform inspections, read and interpret plans and specifications,maintain daily construction records, document daily work activities,ensure quality of work, and perform material testing; and prepare dailyreports of measured quantities and testing.* Adhere to environmental standards and exhibit environmental awareness.* Make responsible decisions in the field for the required work to beaccomplished.* Adhere to company safety guidelines and standards; follow safety rulesand regulations to promote a positive safety culture.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)Minimum one year experience working as an oil and gas inspector or relatedfield.Minimum one year experience in pipeline repair
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Ability to ensure proper completion of construction and maintenanceprojects through the understanding of company plans and specifications.General knowledge of the oil and gas industryThorough understanding of pipeline repair methodsProficient in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word,Excel, OutlookStrong understanding of positive safety guidelinesAbility to work well with employees and contractors.Familiarity and working knowledge of OSHA confined space requirementspreferred.Familiarity and working knowledge of 4 gas air monitoring and benzenemonitoring equipment preferred.
Salary based on experience - $27.00 to $33.00 USD Hourly
