  The position supports work that covers a variety of shifts in a 24-hour/seven-day schedule, as such, there may be a need to support work on occasional nights and / or weekends.

  Primary Responsibilities:

  Evaluate daily inputs to ensure compliance to applicable procedures, regulatory & customer requirements and interrelationship of change impact with other product lines and business units.

  Assign material dispositions, effectivities and maintain spares codes based on hardware quantities, other outstanding changes and part availability while sequencing ‘as designed’ vs. ‘as built’ bill of material configurations to support production and field hardware.

  Evaluate interchangeability factors and assign appropriate product identification to ensure adequate HS traceability capability and ensure successful customer approval of proposed design changes.

  Evaluate/interpret all engineering inputs for proper classification, adherence to drafting and engineering standards, product structure impact and interrelationship of changes to other HS products.

  Provide customized CM data extractions in support of business unit metrics and requests from the general engineering community.

  Schedule and complete jobs on a daily basis while continually assessing new inputs and changing priorities.

  Conduct one on one communications with representatives of various internal organizations to negotiate engineering change implementation, cost and compliance issues.

  Represent CM department and communicate policies and working solutions in internal meetings

  Research product histories to ensure adequate support and identification for field hardware/customer configurations.

  Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure intent of engineering change is properly incorporated and limited to intended product.

  Utilize, create and correlate data within EPEC PLM engineering database.

  Establish appropriate priorities to schedule the completion of jobs with the shared support of engineering, operations, records and drafting, ensuring production schedule commitments are met for multiple jobs inputs, programs and product areas.

  Utilize and interpret IHS, in addition to utilizing MS Office suite of products.

  Recommend enhancements to these systems for usability, enhanced data interpretation, and assimilation of new data types.

  Evaluate unique situations, make discretionary decisions within appropriate constraints, provide innovative solutions and implement actions to closure.

  Perform detailed reviews of every input (releases, engineering changes, deviations), recognize discrepancies or inconsistencies.

  Provide direction for originators, affected departments and management to resolve issues in a timely manner and ensure proper engineering intent is realized without jeopardizing contract compliance.

  Ensure proper production incorporation without hardware delays or causing shipping stoppages.

  Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Knowledge of engineering documentation, including but not limited to prints, specifications, BOM’s, etc.

  Technical writing skills

  Knowledge of Hamilton Sundstrand’s policies and procedures (SP0123, ESM3000 series).

  Experience communicating, both written and verbally, with all levels of the organization

  Experience working both independently and as part of a team

  The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
