SAIC has an opportunity for a successful Configuration and Asset Manager to serve in a key position on a mission-critical DOD program. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your skills in configuration and asset management to ensure delivery of a premier solution to the customer. The correct candidate will be supporting an impending contract based in Colorado Springs, CO.
DU TIES WILL INCLUDE:
Manage all N&NC IT assets and ensure that assets under the control of the IT organization are identified, controlled and properly cared for throughout their lifecycle.
Identify, control, record, report, audit and verify services and other configuration items (CIs), including versions, baselines, constituent components, their attributes and relationships.
Account for, manage and protect the integrity of CIs through the service lifecycle by working with change management to ensure that only authorized components are used, and only authorized changes are made.
Ensure the integrity of CIs and configurations required to control the services by establishing and maintaining an accurate and complete configuration management system (CMS).
Maintain accurate configuration information on the historical, planned and current state of services and other CIs.
Provide accurate configuration information to enable timely decisions — for example, to authorize changes and releases, or to resolve incidents and problems. The SACM Manager is responsible for the Accountable Property and software processes.
Other tasks and duties assigned as necessary to meet the requirements of successful Task Order execution.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Technology or Information Systems
14 + years of prior relevant experience
Active Top Secret / SCI Eligibility
Knowledge and practical experience with Configuration Management, Change Management, and Release Management
Familiarity with the use, basic structuring, and organization of databases
Experience supporting and briefing a customer
Self-starter and has the ability to work independently with little to no supervision
Strong written and verbal communications, team building, and collaboration skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office product
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to work with cross-functional teams
Highly motivated, proactive, organized and able to manage concurrent projects
Candidate must possess excellent leadership and time management skills
DESIRED CERTS AND SKILLS:
ITIL Foundations Certification
Experience creating and developing architectural diagrams
DoD 8570 cert at IAT level II or higher
Scrum Alliance Scrum Master Certification
FEDSIM experience preferred
Scrum Alliance Scrum Master Certification
FEDSIM experience preferred
Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
