  What Success Looks Like In This Job

  To provide exceptional and efficient customer service to our internal and external customers of the Adams County Conference Centers located at both the Government Center and the Human Services Center for the Business Services Division of the Facilities and Fleet Department

  Examples of Duties for Success

  Act as the primary contact for the scheduling and maintenance of the conference rooms and areas at the Government Center and the Human Services Center

  Responsible for scheduling internal and external events at the Conference Centers and completing all necessary paperwork for such events

  Responsible for setting up and breaking down the Conference Center space(s) before and after events in the Conference Centers

  Provide technical assistance with all A/V equipment located within the Government Center and the Human Services Center Conference Centers

  Provide light maintenance and custodial duties in areas to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all customers

  Coordinate with catering services as requested by the Conference Center customers

  Perform other duties as assigned

  Qualifications for Success

  Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time

  Ability to kneel, crouch, bend, and scoot

  Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  Ability to operate general office equipment including computer, printer, telephone, and radio

  Knowledge of and ability to operate IT and A/V equipment

  Ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers from diverse backgrounds

  Ability to communicate professionally, clearly, and concisely, both written and verbally

  Knowledge of and the ability to use various computer software programs including, but not limited to, MS Suite, JD Edwards, EventPro

  Ability to provide coverage for the Government Center and the Human Services Center including the ability to work overtime, after hours, and weekends

  Ability to pivot and adapt to changing tasks in a timely and courteous manner

  Must have a neat and professional appearance

  Education

  High School Diploma or equivalent

  Experience

  Two (2) years of conference center scheduling or similar field.

  Background Check

  Must pass a criminal background check

  Essential duties require the following physical abilities and work environment:

  Physical Activities:

  Ability to sit, walk, talk, hear, stand, kneel, crouch, squat, stoop, crawl, twist, climb or balance, lift 50 pounds.• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feed; ability to reach with hands or arms.

  Exposure to Elements:

  Social gatherings, cold, heat, noise, outdoors, dust.

  Mental Abilities:

  Ability to compare; analyze, communicate, coordinate, instruct, evaluate, have interpersonal skills, and compile.

  Vision Demands:

  Close Vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distant vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), peripheral vision, and depth vision.
