　　Job summary:

　　Reservoir simulation is used to model fluid flow in porous media for various applications, including Carbon Capture and Storage and Geothermal Energy systems. SLB’s INTERSECT reservoir simulator is a world renowned C++ code. It is constantly renewed to incorporate modern compiler technologies. It is staffed by experts, including compiler contributors. It utilizes the latest technologies from Google (TensorFlow) and Nvidia (CUDA 11.2) in a product combining the most recent advances in AI with the discipline of High Performance Computing, in a competitive product market. 　　Essential responsibilities and duties:

　　You will be expected to operate within a multi-skilled and experienced team, taking state-the-art knowledge into commercial software workflows. You will work on implementing and maintaining efficient software.

　　Qualifications:

　　Masters or doctorate in Reservoir Simulation, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or a related fieldRequired skills:

　　Enthusiasm to learn new skills/technologies and solve challenging problems

　　Familiarity with C++ (or similar high-level programming language)

　　Experience in a scientific domain

　　Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:

　　Agile software methodology experience

　　Familiarity with Git source control, pull request creation and pull request review

　　Experience in practices like pair programming, Test Driven Development (TDD), Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD), Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD)

　　Familiarity with build management systems such as Azure DevOps build, and administering continuous integration build systems, specifying virtual machines and designing containerised environments
