Click here to see a video from the division!General descriptionThe Comptrollers office is seeking a Systems Analyst VI for Agency Services in the Fiscal Management Statewide Fiscal Oversight Division. The work involves performing computer systems analysis work of Comptrollers financial systems and data used for statewide financial and fund (i.e., budgetary) accounting and oversight, providing expertise in querying and extracting data using programming languages, including Structured Query Language (SQL) and providing guidance for or manages projects related to accounting system data.Qualifications: Minimum QualificationsGraduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree. Three years of experience with the Uniform Statewide Accounting System (USAS). Experience using DB2s Structured Query Language (SQL). Experience researching, analyzing and resolving variances and out of balance conditions with governmental accounting systems. Experience documenting and updating procedures.Preferred QualificationsGraduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelors degree in accounting, auditing, business management, finance, computer science, computer information systems, or management information systems or a related field.Preferred Experience:Experience supporting Texas statewide fiscal systems (CAPPS, HRIS, SPRS, SPA, TINS, and/or USAS).Experience with a relational database (DB2 in particular).Experience using report generators and tools such as QMF, SYNCSORT, SAS, EASYTRIEVE.Experience using SAP Business Objects/Business Intelligence (BI) tools.Experience with programming languages including Python, Java, etc.A functional knowledge of mainframe programming (JCL - Job Control Language), including some experience at creating, reading, updating, and deleting mainframe datasets.A functional knowledge of using SAS to manage data and create reports.A functional knowledge of generating reports using mainframe tools, including experience with IBM OS mainframe environments (ex.
