The intern will assist in researching statutes; assist with editing and developing educational materials and training programs, research and data entry projects, developing informational materials, including online videos, publications and webpages.This position may be eligible for a flexible/hybrid work schedule if certain conditions are met; working arrangements may change at any time as business necessitates.Period of Internship: June 1, 2024 thru August 9, 2024Please note: Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation. We do not offer housing support however,if you live outside of the Austin area and need assistance with housing referrals or housing search support, contact us at512-475-5310.Qualifications: Minimum QualificationsCurrently enrolled as a Junior or Senior at an accredited college or universityProfessional or academic experience in project management or a related fieldProfessional or academic experience in writing and editing public information and communicationsPreferred Experience:Two years of undergraduate courses toward a degree in real estate, accounting, business, communications, finance, government, public policy or related field.In this role you will:Assistin reviewing and analyzing program functions and operations; prepares reports of findings and makes recommendations to produce a more effective program. Collaborates with program subject matter experts and assists with the development of task schedules or workflow charts to enhance project execution.Assistin the review of written correspondence, publications and materials, including educational courses, internal training materials, online videos, email communications, surveys, web pages, and presentations. Composes, types, and proofs written responses and prepares requested information data. Proofreads content for clarity and grammar. Assists with research needed to update publications.Provide general administrative support for the division, including compiling documents for training courses and other public meetings.Veterans:To receive veterans preference a copy of your DD214 (Member 4) is required.Veterans, Reservist or Guardsmen with an MOS or additional duties that fall in other related fields pertaining to the minimum experience requirements may meet the minimum qualifications.
