In this role you will:Participate in Electrical / Electronic / Electromechanical /Electrooptical (EEEE) Parts Engineering technical assignments related tohardware design, manufacture and test.Participate in the selection, qualification, test and failure analysis ofEEEE Parts.Prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, preparespecifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reportsCoordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering,Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain organization.Work on electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes,integrated circuits (ICs), hybrids, crystals, crystal oscillators,filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays,semiconductors, therTravel and work closely with suppliers and government agencies to ensureelectronic component selections meet both quality expectations and productperformance requirements.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or related technical fieldFormal coursework, training, experience and/or knowledge in thedesign, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts andcircuits, semiconductor physics and/or operation of devices such ashybrids, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes and capacitorsKnowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing, materials andprocesses used in EEEE partsExperience reviewing engineering drawings and/or specifications andproviding guidance to design and test teams.Desired Skills:Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or MaterialsEngineering with emphasis on electrical parts, semiconductor physics orrelated field of studyFamiliarity with technical requirements (specifications, programplans/requirements, etc.)Experience participating in major program milestone reviews such as PDR andCDRActive DoD Secret clearance or higherBasic understanding of Nuclear effects on EEEE parts and demonstrated abilityto work closely with Survivability Engineers in strategic Rad HardapplicationsFamiliarity with military specifications and engineering requirementsBasic understanding of worst-case analysis (WCA) / EEEE parts deratingand end of life requirementsAbility to evaluate current and developing technologies for EEEE parts incomplex design packagesExperience or knowledge of failure analysis, destructive physical analysisand/or root cause and corrective action analysis related to EEEE partsExperience establishing and implementing technical requirements(specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.)Experience regarding the full life cycle of integrated circuits (ICs),discrete components, or magnetics (transformers), etc.Experienced in working with suppliers of EEEE components.
