DescriptionEssential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & ResultsScheduling:-Work closely with account managers to have an understanding of upcoming projects.-Work with account managers & production artists to assist in scheduling new projects.-Work with proofing department to ensure printed pieces are made to complete projects on-time.-Review comping schedule to stay up-to-date on any changes in the schedule or to alert account managers of any timing issues.Assembly:-Extensive knowledge of materials & equipment.-Use existing equipment & materials in a safe manner.-Test materials & equipment for mock-up production.-Research materials & equipment for future mock-up production.-Clean, maintain and organize materials and equipment for future use.-Document best practices for completing 3-D mock-ups.-Review artwork, printing, and compare to final assembly throughout the process to insure final deliverable meets or exceeds client expectations.-Take photographs of all final mock-ups for internal archives.-Pack projects for shipping in a manner to protect them from damage during transport.-Create packing documents.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities-Basic understanding of design & branding principles.-Excellent communication skills.-Ability to interpret design intent to technical proofing solutions.-Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations.-High level of initiative.-Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.-Must be able to handle multiple projects with little direction and supervision.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or Print Technology.Or 1 to 2 years related experience and or training.Or equivalent combination or education and experience.This job description is a general overview of the ASSEMBLY SPECIALIST position and level of assignments given in this position.
