  Description of Job

  The Reinstatement/Interlock Unit processes reinstatement documents for drivers that received an alcohol and/or drug administrative action against their driving privileges. The reinstatement documents restore their revoked, suspended or canceled driving privileges and are issued a restricted interlock license. The unit oversees the Colorado Interlock Program to ensure drivers are compliant during their restricted interlock requirement and has oversight of vendor management to ensure the vendor is contract compliant.

  This position will be responsible for many duties, including but not limited, to:

  Learn to determine compliance with applicable program statutes, regulations, contract requirements, policies and procedures for the ignition interlock program

  Visit and learn how to audit all approve interlock provider service centers

  Learn how to identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions

  Learn how to process all reinstatement documents and provide training to others as needed

  Learn how to submit interlock evidence to the Hearings Division

  This position will require weekly travel and some overnight stay throughout the year within the state of Colorado.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  Must meet one of the following or any combination of experience/education to meet the qualifications:

  OPTION 1:

  4 years of experience in law enforcement, auditing, or inspection.

  OR

  OPTION 2:

  Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Communications, or a similar field of study related to the work assignment.

  OR

  OPTION 3:

  Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

  The preferred candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  Strong attention to detail

  Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities

  A self-starter mindset and comfortability with autonomy

  Prior experience with inventory management

  Open minded and willingness to learn

  Comfortable with ongoing change

  DOR Required Skills and Competencies :

  Competencies required for all DOR positions include good communications skills, interpersonal and people management skills, the ability to multitask, the ability to work with confidential information, the ability to work in high-stress environments, and the demonstrated ability to assist customers.

  Conditions of Employment with the Colorado Department of Revenue :

  As a condition of employment with the Colorado Department of Revenue, a requirement exists that all personnel timely file all necessary Colorado Individual Income Tax (CIIT) returns and timely pay tax obligations. As such, all employees must undergo a pre-employment evaluation of their tax records/accounts to ensure compliance with this policy.

  Employees are in a position of public trust in the performance of their job duties and must operate in a manner that maintains the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and public confidence. All job finalists require successful completion of a background investigation and reference check prior to appointment.   Years will be expressed in terms of full-time equivalent service with full-time workload equal to one (1) Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) year. No more than 1.00 FTE year may be credited in any twelve (12) month period. Positions working 40 hours or less per week will be prorated (30 hrs/wk=0.75 FTE=9 mos credit; 20 hrs/wk=0.5 FTE=6 mos credit; 10 hrs/wk=0.25 FTE=3 mos credit)
