University of Pittsburgh Physicians Department of Medical Education is hiring a full-time Compliance Administrator, GME to join their team! In this position, you will work Monday-Friday during daylight hours. This position will have some flexibility to work from home up to 3 days/week.
Purpose:
The Compliance Administrator is concerned with all tasks supporting the preparation, coordination and completion Annual Program Oversight Review process for the training programs overseen by UPMC Medical Education (UPMC ME). Additionally, the Compliance Administrator assists in the preparation and review of documents for Institutional and Program Specific site visits by the accrediting bodies and instituting faculty development based on areas of concerns identified during the site visits. The Compliance Administrator must be able to identify problems and problem areas and resolve issues independently. The Compliance Administrator must be able to process several projects at the same time without affecting the quality of work performed.
Responsibilities:
Ensures the institution and the individual training programs provide timely action plans that adequately address areas of concern in order to maintain compliance with the recommendations and requests of the accreditation body.
Maintains frequent contact and provides assistance and resources to the UPMC ME Leadership, DIO Management Team, Program Directors and Program Coordinators to effectively manage the day-to-day activities relating to accreditation.
Creates a culture of service excellence focused on defining, understanding and consistently satisfying the requirements of both internal and external customers.
Assist with the collection and documentation of accreditation information for the Institutional Review Document in preparation for the ACGME Institutional Review for Health System accreditation to sponsor residency and fellowship training programs.
Actively participate in all residency/fellowship external site/self-study visits conducted by the ACGME, AOA, Council on Podiatric Medicine (COPME), and the Council on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
Assists with maintenance of an electronic database (MedHub) for program accreditation documentation storage and management within GME.
Conduct Annual Program Oversight Reviews (APORs) of UPMC ME training programs. Prepare formal reports for presentation and approval to the ARQC.
Works within ACGME Web ADS system including but not limited to the following: Annual program updates; Institutional Update; Resident/Fellow Survey Results; Faculty Survey Results; Participating site information; complement modification requests; Program Director Changes; Responses to citations.
Serves as a member and provides support to the Accreditation, Reviews & Quality Subcommittee (ARQC). Works with the Director, GME Accreditation to set the agenda, review the minutes, implement directives, and track the results of initiatives.
Reviews communications from the ACGME Review Committees to identify any concerning trends and develop educational material for program faculty and staff to promote program skill development and growth.
Assists with providing data critical to the annual Chairman's evaluation.
Bachelor of Science with a major in business or related field required; Master of Education preferred.
Working knowledge of principles related to document review.
Must possess analytical and problem solving skills as well as the ability to coordinate with others and communicate effectively with various management levels within the organization.
In addition, candidate must understand health system regulations.
Must possess a working knowledge of PC based systems (excel, Databases, etc.) and experience in creating web-based tutorials.
Ability to work in fast-paced office and meet deadlines as assigned by the Director, GME Accreditation, Director, GME Operations, and UPMC ME Senior Management.
