Community Relations Representative III

Location: Kansas, this role is open to any Kansas state resident who meets the minimum requirements regardless of your location within the state of Kansas.

This position is primarily field-based. You can expect to spend 4 days a week traveling the area, participating in community events, and interacting with the Medicaid population. The remaining 1 day per week will be spent working remotely from home.

The schedule is event-dependent, which may require some evenings and weekends. However, as you are responsible for planning and scheduling the events you attend, you will have some flexibility in setting your schedule.

The Community Relations Representative III is responsible for coordinating and supervising the implementation of strategies related to specific business programs, products, territory or expansion.

How You Will Make an Impact

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with the member population for the primary purpose of increasing enrollment and decreasing disenrollment.

Ensures consistent compliance with state, federal, and company specific requirements.

Develops a standard process for assessing the feasibility and development of sponsored events and programs.

Conducts marketing activities, events, exhibits, education, and presentations in an effort to gain members and maintain and/or establish relationships with providers, community, and faith-based organizations.

Identifies and enlists the cooperation of individuals, groups, social service agencies and other community organizations in educational and outreach activities.

Identifies cultural issues regarding current and potential members; communicate those issues and concerns to management immediately.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires an AA/AS degree and a minimum of 4 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

A valid driver's license and access to a motor vehicle with valid motor vehicle insurance are required.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

BA/BS preferred.

State health insurance licensure is preferred.

An insurance license may be required depending on the state.

Bi-lingual encouraged; not required.

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
