JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description INTRODUCTION: The City of RacineMayor\'s Office is seeking a Community Relations Outreach Coordinator tohelp inform, engage, and connect City of Racine residents to availableprograms, resources, and services, and to gather input from residentsabout key neighborhood and City issues. POSITION PURPOSE: This positionwill be responsible for developing and implementing an outreach strategyfor reaching targeted City residents. The Community Relations OutreachCoordinator will also be responsible for organizing, planning, andpromoting strategic community engagement initiatives aimed at gatheringresidents\' input on neighborhood and City issues. Essential DutiesESSENTIAL DUTIES: Design creative, culturally relevant, engagingoutreach materials for print, mail, web, and social media. Distributeprinted outreach materials such as flyers, posters, and handouts,throughout the community, including to community partners, businesses,and other key locations to reach City residents. Identify communityconcerns regarding the City\'s operations and services. Build andmaintain relationships with community leaders and organizations topromote the City\'s partnerships. Organize, plan, promote, and staffcommunity engagement events. Communicate directly with residents bytabling community events, going door-to-door, and other means to informresidents about City programs and resources and to gather residents\'feedback. Develop and implement tools such as surveys to gather andmeasure residents\' perspectives on pressing issues. Assist theCommunications Director with the development of a social media calendarfor the Mayor and City\'s social media pages. Assist the CommunicationsDirector with writing, layout, and editing of the regular Mayor\'sOffice E-Newsletter. Prepare branded, engaging, accessible outreachpresentations about City programs, initiatives, and resources usingPowerPoint/Google Slides. Seek out/arrange opportunities for City staffto share information about City programs and resources with communitypartners and residents. Assist City staff in communicating details aboutprograms and resources in ways that are understandable to and accessibleto targeted residents. As necessary, assist residents in accessing Cityservices and programs, including helping residents complete applicationsfor programs Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor\'s degreein social work, public administration, public relations, or a relatedfield from an accredited college or university.
