Duties and Responsibilities
· Work closely with project leadership and PDC partners to support the development of the initiative
· Build and sustain successful relationships with university collaborators, school, community, and museum partners
· Work closely with community partner organizations to identify community civic engagement issues and opportunities for high school students
· Convene partner organization liaisons on monthly basis to strengthen relationships, develop strategies, and coordinate civic learning opportunities
· Convene community partner organizations on a quarterly basis as town hall meetings
· Work closely with PDC teachers and school liaisons to identify and build upon the capacity of teachers, students and classrooms to participate in community-based civic learning and action projects
· Develop, recruit for and coordinate summer civic leadership institute for 10-12 high school students
· Support ongoing assessment of PDC projects and initiatives
· Complete and submit all required administrative documentation and reporting in a timely manner
· Participate in all meetings and professional development activities associated with the PDC initiative as required.
· Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in education, youth development, community organizing/action
· 2-3 years of professional experience working with community organizations in organizing, development, or service delivery
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in education, youth development, community organizing/action
· Knowledge of and experience in children and youth engagement strategies
· Knowledge of and experience with urban public education and classroom practices
· 2-3 years of professional experience working with community organizations in organizing, development, or service delivery
· Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
Certificates/Credentials/Licenses
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in education, youth development, community organizing/action

· Knowledge of and experience with urban public education and classroom practices
· 2-3 years of professional experience working with community organizations in organizing, development, or service delivery
