The attributes of a successful BO includes their understanding of all products and services offered by the bank that serve this client segment and collaborative working relationship with Retail Branch Managers to support prospective small business clients. The BO should actively engage with branch employees, create and follow a disciplined marketing effort that includes, but is not limited to; involvement in community organizations, persistent direct calling on prospective businesses and developing/maintaining a robust network. Along with the key functions listed below, each position will be expected to uphold the value that WaFd Bank places on simply being kind when servicing our co-workers and WaFd Bank clients.KEY FUNCTIONS:Primarily an outbound sales position that is designed to drive business deposits, merchant processing, small business loans into the branches and loan referrals to Commercial Bankers.Seeks to develop new business by contacting prospects and clients to sell and cross market bank opportunities.Participates in community organizations affairs to increase the Bank's visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.Interview loan applicants, collect and analyze financials and related data in order to determine the general credit worthiness of the prospect and the merits of the specific loan request.
