　　Job Description:

　　Functions as a Subject Matter Expert, and main point of contact for Resource Managers, Program Managers, NNSA customers, FBI/DOD/DHS partners, National Laboratories and other emergency response/operations stakeholders with regards to secure communication system requirements and operations. Is recognized as an authority in the field of Secure Communication systems used during real-world events and emergency response to weapons of mass destruction and improvised nuclear devises.

　　Will perform the work of secure communication system technical operator within the Render Safe / Emergency

　　Response programs to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.

　　MUST HAVE:

　　2 years minimum technical experience with secure communication systems

　　US citizen and possess or qualify for a DOE Q/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance

　　Associates degree or Technical certification / training in similar field lieu of experience

　　Have a general understanding of national mission forces

　　Strong interpersonal skills to build credibility as a "peer" with all functions

　　Will require travel up to 40% of the time and able to fill a watch bill position (on call).

　　Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of communication systems to maintain a 100% readiness state.

　　Identify, recommend, propose innovative solutions, and implement changes to various communication systems because of experience and expertise in the field.

　　Set-up and establish secure communication systems in remote locations with little to no outside assistance.

　　Advise in implementing development of all required communication systems under the direction for NNSA Emergency Response programs.

　　Ensure effective internal / external customer relationships are established and maintained between multiple organizations including international.

　　Demonstrates initiative to maintain technical currency through outside studies and training.

　　May mentor and coach others within the organization on strategic/secure communication development activities.

　　Directly assists resource and program management on special assignments and projects involving a wide variety of complex technical or operational improvement functions, and develops, coordinates, and directs the implementation of special technical or operational management initiatives.

　　Recommends new approaches, and implement new procedures to effect continual improvements within the department to assure cost-effective operations.

　　May represent resource/program management, as directed, in meetings or appropriate functions.

　　May act as a direct customer interface on assigned projects.
